For those new to graphic design, here’s a quick lesson on Typography. Typography is the art and technique of type design, characters(glyphs) and arranging types. A variety of Illustration techniques are used in arrangement of typefaces, point size, line length, leading and letter spacing. Heard of Kerning?
Typography is performed by typesetters, typographers, graphic designers, art directors and other art junkie types. With the advent of Digital design, typography is now in the hands of new generations of visual designers. As your career blossoms in graphic design, so will your skills in typography. After all, isn’t design about expression?
